“Sagaltxipi is a traditional Basque country house, built in the XVI century, located on the banks of the Oria River.”

It was in the XVIII century when Sagaltxipi started its culinary project, producing 100% homemade cider.

Since the early 30’s people from all over the province, cider lovers, have come to Sagaltxipi to eat and taste our cider. All these people remembered our dad & granddad, Santi, who served cider in spite of having only one arm.

Some years later, during the 70’s we started offering spider crab to our clients, which immediately became one of our stars on our menu, along with the “chuleta” (thick steak) and cod omelette.
